Las Vegas Raiders: Top 5 moments from the Derek Carr Era
Breaking Records
As a lifelong Raiders fan, Carr has said for years that he idolizes the legendary Ken Stabler. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he had long been the team’s all-time leader in both passing yards and touchdowns.
That was until 2019 when Carr eventually surpassed the record of his idol in a game against the Chiefs when he became the team’s all-time leader in passing yards. In 2020, he would leap Stabler in the record book yet again when he recorded his 151st touchdown pass and became the all-time leader in that category as well.
Currently, Carr has 35,222 passing yards and 217 touchdowns which are both far and away team records. Of course, Carr played in a different era than the other great quarterbacks in team history, but with numbers like that, it is pretty undeniable that he is the most accomplished quarterback in Raiders history. When it’s all said and done, Carr has a decent shot at finishing top ten all-time in passing yards in NFL history.
