Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Las Vegas trades down in Round 1

Henry To'oTo'o. 48. player. 829. . LB. Crimson Tide

Speaking of Alabama players, the Raiders use the 47th pick that they received from Washington to grab linebacker Henry To’oTo’o. The linebacker position is a major question mark as Denzel Perryman is now a free agent as is Jayon Brown. The Raiders definitely can’t go into next year with Divine Deablo and Luke Masterson as their starting linebackers so using a second-round pick on To’oTo’o makes perfect sense.

To’oTo’o is slightly undersized at 6-2 and 228 lbs but if he is able to fill out a bit he can hold up better in the middle of their defense as the Mike linebacker. He is another player that is projected as a first-round pick by many scouts so getting him in the second would be a great value. Others have him as a third-rounder but that is standard variance among the scouting community.

The California native spent the first two years of his career at Tennessee before transferring to Alabama in 2021 and becoming a star. He is a tackling machine with 206 tackles in 28 games and an impressive 15.5 tackles for loss for the Crimson Tide and showed the ability to rush the passer with 6.5 sacks in that same span.

Despite his perceived lack of size, To’oTo’o is a ferocious tackler and is decent enough in coverage to not have to come off the field on third down. He may drop a bit in the draft because of his size and some deficiencies in coverage, but he is a solid value with the 47th overall pick and will be an instant leader on the Raiders’ defense.
