Numbers don’t lie, and a few specific numbers define this underperformance as we look back at the 2022 Las Vegas Raiders season.

The Las Vegas Raiders will be watching this weekend’s playoff games on their couches after what may have been one of the more disappointing seasons in recent memory.

After backing into the playoffs in 2021 behind numerous incredible finishes, the tables turned in 2022 as those games did not go the Raiders’ way.

The hiring of Josh McDaniels did not yield the fruit that fans would have hoped as in-game decision-making and play-calling came into question. And what made it worst was the decline of Derek Carr’s play which led to his benching and what seems like a parting of ways between him and the franchise.

So now, as we reflect on this 2022 season, what will ultimately define it?
