Las Vegas Raiders: 5 worst moments from the Derek Carr Era

Oakland Finale

On December 15th, 2019 the Raiders played their last game at The Coliseum in Oakland. A city they had called home for much of their history, this game was a special one for a fanbase that is as loyal as any in the league. As such, despite being essentially eliminated from the playoffs at 6-7, many expected the Raiders to dispatch the 4-9 Jaguars in a game that would surely be emotional.

Throughout much of the game, this appeared to be the case as Oakland entered the fourth quarter up 16-6 on the back of a big game from Darren Waller who had eight receptions for 122 receiving yards. Then, the scoring stopped from Carr and the offense as Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars stormed back out in front.

After a Minshew touchdown pass gave the “Jags” a 20-16 lead, a visibly shaken Carr and the offense took the field hoping for a miracle.

As such, the last play in Oakland Raiders history was a hail mary from Carr that fell short in the endzone. He, and the rest of the team, would leave the field to a chorus of boos from fans, some of which made sure to throw trash onto the field to show their displeasure for one of the most embarrassing losses in team history.
