Raiders: 2023 first-round draft prospects Las Vegas could trade down for
Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame
Finally, we turn to a position group that may not be a huge need, but also one that could land the Raiders one of the best playmakers in this draft class. From Day 1 at Notre Dame, Michael Mayer established himself as one of the best tight ends in the country and leaves the school as the best player at his position group in school history.
That is saying something when you look at the talent the Irish have produced at tight end, but Mayer is just different and would be a perfect fit in Las Vegas. Nicknamed “Baby Gronk,” Mayer would give McDaniels the say type of weapon at tight end that he had in New England, and if Las Vegas decides to trade Darren Waller, he slides in as a Day 1 starter.
Potential package for the Las Vegas Raiders to land Jalen Ramsey
The Raiders have a big offseason ahead of them and going after some potential players on the trade market might be in the cards for filling some needy holes
Mayer is both an outstanding pass-catcher, and a blocking tight end, making him a perfect NFL prospect. Foster Moreau is entering free agency, so even if the Raiders decide to hang on to Waller, imagine what that duo would look like for whoever comes in and mans the quarterback spot in 2023 and beyond.
