Raiders moving on from Derek Carr is the only way to catch the Chiefs

Can the new-look Raiders stop the Chiefs?

After all these years, it has become apparent that no defense can truly stop Mahomes and the Chiefs. Of course, a good pass rush can slow him down in the same way it can any quarterback but at the end of the day, you must outscore him.

With a likely scenario of Tom Brady joining the Raiders with the addition of a highly drafted rookie quarterback, Las Vegas is finally on its way to catching their arch-rival. While Brady may not be the same player he was in his prime, playing in McDaniels offense once again with Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Darren Waller, and Josh Jacobs, he will have plenty of firepower to score with Mahomes.

As the week eighteen game last season made evident, the Chiefs have disregarded the Raiders. Literally dancing in the huddle before they run plays, it almost feels as if they are playing a different sport than the Silver and Black at times.

While there is still much work to do, ridding themselves of Carr puts them on the right track to competing with the AFC’s elite.
