Raiders: 4 Derek Carr trade scenarios including a huge 2023 NFL Draft shift

The combination of Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas are going to likely be all-in on bringing Aaron Rodgers to New York, this after adding Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator. The time is ticking for Saleh to finally get the Jets to the playoffs, as another losing season could spell the end of his tenure as head coach in the Big Apple.

In this trade scenario, Las Vegas sends Carr to New York along with a fifth-round pick, while getting a fifth-round pick back in return. Las Vegas also gets a starting right tackle in Mekhi Becton, and a second-round pick from the New York Jets, a pick they could use to continue to bolster the defense.

The Jets are a solid landing spot for Carr due to the fact they have some great young weapons on offense, including Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Elijah Moore. New York also has one of the best young defenses in the NFL, so while the AFC East is a tough division, led by the Buffalo Bills, Carr would be entering a franchise ready to win right now.
