Dawand Jones – Tackle, Ohio State

They say you can’t teach size, which is the case regarding Dawand Jones. Standing at 6’8 and 360 pounds, Jones is an absolute mountain of a human being, and when you add that he measured in with a Senior Bowl record 89.5 wingspan, the physical tools are truly unmatched.

Jones simply overwhelms opponents with his sheer size and length in both the run and pass game and is reminiscent of former Raiders Trent Brown. Now that won’t mean much for fans, given Brown’s tumultuous tenure with the team, but Josh McDaniels and the Patriots got the most out of Brown while in New England, so perhaps they can do the same with Jones.

Jones played right tackle for multiple years at Ohio State and could fill a massive need for an offensive line in desperate need of stability. The key for Jones will be his lateral movement skills against NFL-caliber pass rushers.
