Las Vegas Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: A perfect scenario?

819. . IOL. Fighting Irish . Jarrett Patterson. 143. player

The offensive line rebuild continues as the Raiders take another interior offensive lineman in Jarrett Patterson out of Notre Dame. Patterson played both guard and Center for the Fighting Irish and is equally adept at both positions. He is an incredibly experienced player who has started nearly 50 games over a five-year career in South Bend.

The versatility that Patterson brings is one of one of his strengths as the Raiders and most NFL teams look to interior linemen to be able to play both guard and center. He is well-built at 6-4 and 304lbs and ran the 40-yard dash in about 5 seconds flat.

That speed and athleticism make him a great puller and helps him when he must get up to the second level. Scouts rave about his competitiveness and attitude, and they believe that he has elite physical traits that can be built on to make for a high-level starter in the NFL.

Patterson can stand to add some muscle to his frame but is already a solid pass blocker despite some of his technical deficiencies. He’s not quite as nasty as Mafi but a nice mix of nastiness and finesse could make for a good combo at the guard position for the Raiders.
