Over the last week, the rumors of Aaron Rodgers joining the Raiders have become impossible to ignore. If Las Vegas pulls the trigger on a trade, this is what it might look like.
As all NFL fans know, the Raiders are moving on from longtime quarterback Derek Carr. After a season that did not come close to reaching expectations, the new regime decided it was time to bench the face of the franchise. While they look to find a resolution with Carr, they must also find a quarterback of their own.
In Green Bay, the team also suffered from a season that did not meet expectations. Falling one game short of the playoffs, they now have their own questions at quarterback. Of course, future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers is still on the team but at some point, they will hand the keys over to Jordan Love.
Following multiple off-seasons of the Green Bay front office causing frustration for Rodgers, the two sides appear headed for a split. While his massive contract certainly makes things difficult for teams attempting a trade, there will still be a market for the controversial but talented superstar.
After acquiring wide receiver Davante Adams from the Packers last off-season, the Raiders are certainly familiar with making big moves under general manager Dave Ziegler. Doing so again would likely rob him of the chance to pick in the first round two years in a row. If they choose to do so again, here is an idea of what the trade could look like.
