The Las Vegas Raiders will move on from the Pro Bowl quarterback, Derek Carr, before February 15, 2023, and here are the top-8 players to likely succeed him.

The Las Vegas Raiders and Derek Carr are getting divorced after nine seasons together. Something that seemed so impossible just a short time ago is happening very quickly. Carr has said his goodbye to Raider fans publicly and stated he is looking forward to the next chapter in his career.

It’s been a bittersweet month for most Raider fans as for nearly a decade, we’ve watched this man suit up in the Silver and Black. After reports surfaced recently, it’s clear that a Derek Carr and Josh McDaniels relationship wasn’t going to be sustainable, and it was time to turn the page.

There are so many good things to say about Carr as a person and a player. Raider Nation is grateful for the countless effort and time he has put in. However, as Raider fans, we can’t help but fantasize about improving the quarterback position for the 2023 season and beyond. With big names set to become free agents and the Raiders obtaining a high draft pick, speculation is rampant throughout the nation.

It’s hard to imagine Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler moving on from a serviceable quarterback in Carr and not having a replacement in mind. Mark Davis, the owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, has made it known that McDaniels and Ziegler’s jobs are safe entering into the 2023 season but room for error after that is slim. So, who are McDaniels and Ziegler willing to bet their jobs on?

I’ve made a list of all the options I think are worth talking about and ranked them in possibility.
