Raiders 2023 7-round NFL Mock Draft: What if Aaron Rodgers arrives?

. Edge. Yellow Jackets . Keion White. 233. player. 880

Keion White is a prospect that is projected by several sites as a fourth or fifth-round pick so grabbing him with the 233rd overall pick is an absolute steal. He is another example of a player with great physical tools and attributes but with a questionable college career and only one year of solid production.

White started his career with Old Dominion as a tight end before moving to the defensive line and then transferring to Georgia Tech as a junior. He played just 72 snaps his junior season due to injury but became a much bigger contributor in 2022, recording 40 total pressures, 29 QB hurries, and a solid 7 sacks on the season.

What makes White an intriguing prospect is his combination of physical traits where he measures 6-foot-5 and 280lbs, and his freakish athleticism.

Bruce Feldman ranked him as #20 on his Freaks List and said the following, “White was a devastating player for Old Dominion in 2019, making 19 TFLs. He was 265 then. He transferred to Tech, but then suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him. He’s now 6-4, 290, and primed to be a problem for ACC teams. White has hit 21 mph despite being almost 300 pounds.

He also has vertical-jumped 32 inches and done 38 reps of 225 on the bench press”.

The seventh round is exactly when you want to take a chance on a guy like this that could contribute straight away simply due to his athleticism and could develop into a potential starter. You can never have enough defensive linemen and White’s combination of size and 4.69 speed could make him a devastating presence on the Raider defense.
