2023 NFL Draft: Day 2 cornerbacks the Raiders should target

Emmanuel Forbes, Mississippi State

It did not take Emmanuel Forbes long to become a star for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, as he started as a true freshman, and nabbed five interceptions in his first season on campus. That was just an indicator of things to come, as Forbes terrorized SEC offenses across his three seasons in Starkville.

In his final season, Forbes took it one step further, picking off six passes, three of which he returned for touchdowns. While the six interceptions were a career-high, the three returns for a score matched what he did as a true freshman, giving him six for his career, and establishing himself as one of the true ballhawks in this draft class.

Here is where PFF ranks Forbes in terms of the 2023 NFL Draft class at his position.

Forbes could skyrocket into the first round with a solid combine and draft season, so he may not be available to the Raiders in Rounds 2 or 3. However, if he is available, he may be worth the team’s second-round pick, as he is that good.
