2023 NFL Draft: Day 2 cornerbacks the Raiders should target
Tyrique Stevenson, Miami (FL)
Tyrique Stevenson from the University of Miami is an interesting prospect, as he started his career at Georgia, before becoming a two-year starter for the Hurricanes. Stevenson is someone who has all the physical gifts you look for in a starting cornerback at the next level, and has recently seen himself shooting up draft boards.
In fact, after starting as a possible third-or-fourth round pick, Stevenson parlayed an incredible Senior Bowl week into being considered someone who could hear his name called on Day 1. While I do not think that will happen, what was once a possible Day 3 selection should be gone by the time the fourth round comes along, which says a lot about what he has accomplished so far this draft season.
Stevenson is as physical as they come when it comes to the position, and he locked down some of the best wide receivers in the country during the Senior Bowl practices. Las Vegas needs that kind of physical play in their secondary, and Stevenson combines that with rare speed, which would be a welcoming sight in the Silver and Black.
