Las Vegas Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Super Bowl LVII edition

222. Mohamed Ibrahim RB Minnesota

You can never have too many running backs in a Josh McDaniels offense and depending on what happens with Josh Jacobs, the Raiders may be down an All-Pro running back in 2023. Even if the Raiders bring Jacobs back, they take a chance here on one of the most productive players in college football by grabbing running back Mohamed Ibrahim with the 222nd overall pick.

The former Minnesota Golden Gopher is a fifth-year senior and after dealing with an Achilles injury in 2021, he had one of the best seasons in college football in 2022. Ibrahim finished third in the country with 1,665 yards, 20 touchdowns, and an impressive 5.2 yards per carry. The injury history is no doubt a concern but his college production is incredible and the Raiders can buy low here on a player coming off a great season.

Ibrahim does not possess elite speed as his last recorded 40 was at 4.52 seconds but he has a chance to improve that at the combined war pro day. He is solid in pass protection and if he shows a willingness to do that and contribute on special teams you will find it much easier to make this team. The Raiders currently don’t have a third-down back on the roster and that is a role Ibrahim can fill if he can improve his route running.
