Las Vegas Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Super Bowl LVII edition
174. Rejzohn Wright CB Oregon State
We know things didn’t go great the last time the Raiders brought in a player from Last Chance U but this time they do so again with the far more talented Rejzohn Wright out of Oregon State. Wright was on the latest football season of the show featuring Laney College in Oakland and he looks the part of a top-tier press corner at the pro level.
The East Palo Alto native measures in at 6-2 and 196lbs and his last recorded forty time was a blazing 4.35 seconds. He is a long and rangy corner that has the elite speed needed to keep up with NFL receivers and is a willing tackler in run support.
His passer rating when targeted over the last two seasons has hovered around 80 and he’s recorded a solid 11 pass breakups and four interceptions in that span. There are some mock draft sites that have Wright ranked as an undrafted free agent but we feel that with his size and speed, he will be a no-brainer mid to late-round pick.
There are some concerns about his footwork and route recognition but the physical traits are there and the Raiders can coach up the mental side of the game. There are other concerns about his maturity but as we saw on the show when he would drive over an hour each way for class and practice, there should be few questions about his work ethic and that should help him contribute right away.
