Las Vegas Raiders: 4 ex-Raiders the team should bring back in 2023

Nelson Agholor

If nothing else, Nelson Agholor was fun to watch during his one year in Las Vegas. Signed to a one-year, “prove-it” deal, he quickly became a big play threat by catching a long touchdown in his first game. With 896 receiving yards and eight touchdowns across thirteen starts in 2020, his connection with Derek Carr down the field was evident.

Of course, Carr is gone but the big play threat of Agholor still exists somewhere despite consecutive seasons in New England where he didn’t reach expectations. In fact, with just 835 receiving yards across those seasons, he is likely to come at a significant discount.

With Mack Hollins a free agent, the Raiders will be in need of another starting receiver if he doesn’t return. This is where Agholor would be a good fit as a player who can stretch the field opposite Davante Adams.

Furthermore, Josh McDaniels is familiar with Agholor as he was the Patriots’ offensive coordinator during his first season with New England. Likely to get another “prove-it” deal, Las Vegas makes sense once again.
