Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era

No. 9: Daniel Carlson, K (2018-present)

Daniel Carlson was automatic during his college days at Auburn, never missing an extra point, and finishing his career with the Tigers as the SEC’s all-time leading scorer. Unfortunately for him, he was less than that in his first stint in the NFL, and before his first month in the league was out, he had been cut by the Minnesota Vikings.

Well, that was definitely the Vikings’ loss, and the Raiders’ gain, as Carlson has gone back to becoming automatic now that he is wearing the Silver and Black. After nailing 94 percent of his field goals with the team in 2018, Carlson struggled a bit in 2019, but since then, has missed only eight field goals across the last three seasons.

During that time, Carlson has missed only six extra points as well but has had plenty of memorable moments. His 47-yard field goal in overtime sent the Raiders to their second playoff appearance since the 2002 season, and in the playoffs, he nailed all four of his field goals, as well as an extra point.
