Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era
No. 5: Davante Adams, WR (2022-present)
We kick off our top 5 with a player who stepped into the Silver and Black this past season and proved just why the team gave up so much draft capital to get him. Coming to the Raiders not only to play with Derek Carr, his best friend but also to play for his favorite childhood team, Adams put on the Silver and Black and absolutely dominated.
In 2022, while the offense struggled in a big way at times, Adams was a star for the Raiders, setting the franchise record for receiving yards in a single season. The veteran wide receiver hauled in 100 catches for Las Vegas, finished with over 1,500 yards, and found the end zone 14 times, good enough to be named a Pro Bowler, and first-team All-Pro.
He was as good as advertised, and while Derek Carr is leaving the organization, he is going to be someone the team can build around on that side of the ball. He is going to have his say on who the next quarterback is in Las Vegas, but whoever it is, they have arguably the best player in the game at the wide receiver position to throw it to in 2023 and beyond.
