Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era
No. 3: Derek Carr, QB (2014-2022)
The No. 3 player on our list is the man himself, Derek Carr, who entered the NFL after being a second-round pick of the team back in 2014. As a rookie, Carr was inserted into the starting lineup from Day 1, and he quickly found success at the NFL level in terms of his statistics, being named to the Pro Bowl in only his second season.
However, the 2016 season brought him to a whole other level of stardom, as he had the Raiders looking like a real Super Bowl contender before breaking his leg on Christmas Eve. He would bounce back with a Pro Bowl season in 2017, his third in a row, but there were times since the broken leg that he just did not look like the same player.
Still, there is no denying what Carr was able to do with the Silver and Black, setting nearly every passing record and doing so with so many changes in terms of his teammates, and especially within the coaching staff. The Raiders and Carr have parted ways after nine seasons together, and hopefully, they can win a few more games apart than they did together.
