Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era

No. 19: Denzel Perryman, LB (2021-2022)

After starring for the division rival Los Angeles Chargers, Denzel Perryman inked a two-year deal with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. However, he would quickly be traded to the Las Vegas Raiders and would go on to have his best season as a pro, making his first Pro Bowl with the Silver and Black.

Perryman was a monster for a defense that struggled at times but played a key role for a unit that helped Las Vegas punch their ticket to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 campaign. He racked up over 150 tackles for that 2021 defense, and had he not gotten injured in 2022, he was well on his way to another triple-digit tackle season.

The tackling machine is entering free agency this offseason but is someone that the Raiders should consider bringing back. He brings veteran leadership and stability to a unit that lacks that on all three levels, and if he is healthy next season, another triple-digit tackle season could be in the cards.
