Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era
No. 7: Josh Jacobs, RB (2019-present)
The 2022 NFL season was a special one for Josh Jacobs, as he led the NFL in both rushing yards and yards per scrimmage while making first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. However, for those who have been watching him run the ball since being a first-round pick back in 2019, Jacobs has been a solid running back since putting on the Silver and Black as a rookie.
In fact, across his first four seasons in the NFL, Jacobs has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark three times, the first coming as a rookie when he became the first rookie in franchise history to run for that many yards. Since then, Jacobs has rounded into a complete player at the position, serving as a dangerous weapon in both the run game and through the air.
Going into 2022, the new regime did not know what to make of him, and they even played him in the Hall of Fame Game after declining his fifth-year option. Now, they will have to decide whether to extend him long-term, or franchise tag him, but entering only his age-25 NFL season, there is plenty of good football left for a player who could end up being an all-time Raiders great.
