Las Vegas Raiders: Top-25 players of the Derek Carr Era

No. 17: Kolton Miller, LT (2018-present)

Kolton Miller was the first draft pick of the second Jon Gruden era, as the team took him with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Even though the team had Donald Penn on the roster, an established left tackle, Gruden and his staff decided it was ‘Miller Time,’ and inserted the young rookie into the starting lineup on Day 1.

What ensued was a tough rookie campaign for Miller, as he was beaten constantly, and looked like another busted draft pick. However, since then, Miller has been one of the only consistent pieces on this Raiders roster, starting 79 of a possible 81 games, and seemingly getting better each and every time he steps between the white lines.

Entering his sixth season with the team, Miller has established himself as one of the best young offensive tackles in the game and was recently named the No. 63 best player from the 2022 NFL season by Pro Football Focus. Miller continues to get better and will be a constant for the foreseeable future thanks to a contract that keeps him in the Silver and Black through the 2025 season.
