Las Vegas Raiders: Recent mocks drafts show no clear favorite at No. 7

Luke Easterling, Draftwire

Lastly, we have Draftwire, who saw CBS’s two-round mock draft and decided to one-up them with a three-round mock draft from Luke Easterling.

Like Reed from the Athletic, Easterling also has the Raiders selecting Florida’s Anthony Richardson, but without a trade-up.

"“The Derek Carr era is over in Las Vegas, and even if the Raiders bring in a veteran quarterback, spending this pick on a high-upside passer wouldn’t be a bad idea. Richardson showed more progression last season than Levis and has the higher ceiling, making him a potential steal here as the fourth quarterback off the board.”"

In the second round, he has the Raiders heading back to Alabama for their running back. This time it is speedster Jahmyr Gibbs.

Gibbs was one of the best playmakers in college football, and even if Josh Jacobs is resigned, he adds a level of homerun ability that would make the Las Vegas backfield a nightmare.

Finally, at pick 70, the offensive line is addressed with USC’s Andrew Vorhees. A prospect that has experience at multiple positions, we could provide versatility that is being coveted more and more at the NFL level as teams are looking to deploy their best five.

A heavy offense start to the draft would hopefully mean that defensive pieces were added during free agency. Still, all hope for the organization would rest on McDaniels’ development of Richardson.
