Las Vegas Raiders: Recent mocks drafts show no clear favorite at No. 7
Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network
Daniel Jeremiah has become one of the more trusted analysts in the NFL draft circles, so his mock draft has a little extra behind them, given the level of access he has to teams.
His mock draft 2.0 dropped earlier this week, and for now, he has the Raiders going after Kentucky’s Will Levis as the next franchise quarterback for Las Vegas.
Jeremiah writes:
"“The picture will be clearer after we get through the quarterback carousel in free agency, but as of now, the Raiders need someone at the position. Levis has incredible tools.”"
Levis was the third quarterback to come off the board in the top ten for Jeremiah, and he currently has the quarterback 12 on his personal big board.
"“Levis is an inconsistent player on tape, but he possesses ideal size, arm strength, and athleticism. He is a power thrower, capable of fitting the ball into tight windows at the second and third levels. However, he needs to get more consistent underneath….”"
Opinions on Levis vary depending on who you read, but the talent is there.
Is Josh McDaniels and Dave Zeigler willing to take the risk in hopes of finding another Josh Allen-style player?
We’ll have to see.
