Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: QB, 2024 first-round pick, and more

. Defensive Lineman. Gamecocks . Zacch Pickens. 174. player. 850

Zacch Pickens is another defensive lineman that we grab in the fifth round and he brings a similar skill set to the aforementioned Keeanu Benton out of Wisconsin. Pickens measures in at 6-4 and 300 pounds so he is a similar run-stuffer but he has a bit more pass rush ability than Benton.

The South Carolina native is a decent enough athlete and his forty times is in the top 30% for his position at 4.85 seconds. He moves well for a 300-pounder and shows great athleticism in pursuit. That rare blend of size and speed should make him an impactful player at the next level, even in a rotational role.

Pickens and Benton could form an impressive defensive tackle duo and as we always say, you can never have too many interior defensive linemen due to the turnover and high injury rate at the position. Las Vegas trotted out their fair share of defensive tackles last season and even drafted a few in last year’s draft, but Pickens is way too good a prospect to pass up here at No. 174 overall.
