Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: QB, 2024 first-round pick, and more

Matthew Bergeron. 93. player. 827. . Offensive Tackle. Orange

The Raiders were originally slotted to pick 70th in the third round but we trade down with the San Francisco 49ers to grab the 99th and 101st overall picks. So we turn our focus to the offense and worked on improving the offensive line by grabbing Matthew Bergeron out of Syracuse with the 99th overall pick.

Bergeron has a prototypical tackle size AT-65 and 323 pounds and is considered a top ten offensive line prospect in this draft. He moves well for a man his size and his last recorded 40 time was 5.3 seconds which is middle of the pack for an offensive lineman.

The Syracuse star is an intelligent player with a good read on the game and has the athleticism and awareness to block out in space. He can play both right and left tackle though the majority of his experience is on the left side so he provides an insurance policy for Colton Miller as well as a potential starter on the right.
