Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: QB, 2024 first-round pick, and more
In the seventh round, the Raiders grab a familiar name in cornerback Tiawan Mullen out of Indiana. Taiwan’s brother Trayvon was a second-round pick for the Raiders a few years ago but was recently traded to the Arizona Cardinals.
Mullen was a three-star prospect out of high school and has been a great contributor to the Hoosier defense in his four years there. He is a bit undersized at 5-10 and 180 pounds but is noted for playing bigger than his size.
As the Raiders have seen with Amik Robertson, some limitations come with being an undersized corner but if you have good instincts and ball skills you can still contribute with some big plays. His lack of size will be an issue in run support, but we can see him contribute straight away as a nickel corner and special teamer.
