The Las Vegas Raiders have issues along the offensive line, but Jermaine Eluemunor should be brought back in free agency this offseason.

Changes are coming in a big way for the Las Vegas Raiders, who are fresh off a six-win season in Josh McDaniels’s first year as head coach. The franchise has already made a huge move by releasing Derek Carr, after a nine-year run that yielded only two playoff appearances.

Now, the front office will be tasked with not only finding a new quarterback but figuring out what to do with a bunch of their current free agents. There are certainly players who will not be back with the franchise, as some may be too expensive to bring back, and others just have not performed well wearing the Silver and Black.

However, there are some that the franchise should make a big push to bring back, and one of them is Jermaine Eluemunor, a young offensive lineman who improved in 2022. Playing an expanded role for the Raiders, Eluemunor had some down moments, but overall, is a player who could be a key for the offensive line in 2023, and beyond.

Raiders could use Eluemunor at OT or OG in 2023

Kolton Miller is locked in at left tackle, and young players like Dylan Parham and Thayer Munford Jr. will be back with the team in 2023 on their rookie contracts. However, neither has proven to be a consistent player at the NFL level, but Eluemunor proved in 2023 that he is someone that could be used as a starter at right tackle, or even at one of the guard positions.

Eluemunor could also be a fairly cheap option as a starter along the offensive line, giving the franchise a bit more flexibility in terms of the salary cap.

In a recent piece by our Micah McDonald, he listed offensive tackle as the No. 1 priority for the Raiders going into the 2023 NFL Draft. While the Raiders do need to upgrade there, Eluemunor should be considered a priority free agent by the team, especially due to his versatility, and ability to stay on the field.
