No. 8: DeAngelo Hall, Cornerback (7yr-$70M)

So, maybe DeAngelo Hall was not a true free agent signing, but he was traded to the Raiders from the Atlanta Falcons, and the team quickly signed him to a new contract. In fact, his seven-year/$70 million deal is widely considered by many as one of the worst contracts in NFL history, as he was with the team for less than a calendar year.

You cannot blame the Raiders for trying to lock Hall up for the long haul, as he was an extremely productive player for the Atlanta Falcons. Hall was a two-time Pro Bowler for Atlanta and was a Pro Bowl player in his final stop in Washington, but he was an absolute disaster playing for the Silver and Black.

Hall played in only eight games for the Raiders during the 2008 NFL season, as the team released him in November, and he was quickly signed by Washington. Hall has three interceptions for the Raiders in those eight games, proving to be a productive player, but the fact that he signed for $70 million and played eight games lands him at No. 8 on our list.
