No. 7: Lamarcus Joyner, Safety (4yr-$42M)

During his time with the Rams franchise, Lamarcus Joyner developed a reputation for being a playmaker in the defensive backfield. In fact, he played so well for the Rams that the Silver and Black offered him a monster contract in free agency, inking him to a four-year deal worth over $40 million, including $16.7 million in guarantees.

Although the Raiders had huge holes at both the cornerback and safety positions, Joyner never really got it going in the Silver and Black. He ended up playing for the team during the 2019 and 2020 NFL seasons, though 2020 was basically a wash, as he dealt with COVID issues throughout.

All told, Joyner started only 16 games during those two seasons, making 28 appearances without hauling in an interception. For all the hype surrounding his playmaking abilities coming over from the Rams, Joyner was a huge disappointment for the Raiders and ended up being released after the 2020 NFL season.
