This is a very significant time for the Las Vegas Raiders, and here are some bold predictions for the franchise this offseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders are in the midst of what is sure to be the most eventful offseason in quite some time for the franchise. Namely, the Raiders are in the market for a new starting quarterback after releasing Derek Carr, their starter for the past decade.

Not only will Las Vegas be looking to replace Carr, but the Raiders also have a lot of work to do on the defensive side of the ball to improve a unit that has not been league-average since the 2000s.

The good news for Head Coach Josh McDaniels and General Manager Dave Ziegler is that the Raiders are not short of assets to improve the team in the offseason. Per Over the Cap, Las Vegas holds the third most cap space in the NFL and also possesses the second most selections in the 2023 NFL Draft.

As McDaniels and Ziegler continue to build the franchise in their image, the Raiders will certainly look a lot different to begin the 2023-24 season, especially considering the disappointment that came in 2022. After taking over a playoff team, there is a lot of pressure on Ziegler, and even more so McDaniels, to stay in win-now mode.

However, because of the Raiders’ poor output in 2022, it is probably safe to assume that other than Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams, nobody in Las Vegas is untouchable. Josh Jacobs, despite having arguably the greatest season as a running back in Raiders’ history, is questionable to return after Ziegler and McDaniels declined his fifth-year option. Derek Carr has already been released. The defense is likely to have at least five new starters next season.

There is no telling how vast the turnover in Las Vegas will be. All of that being said, let’s take a look at a few bold predictions for what will certainly be a wild offseason in Sin City.
