The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to replace Derek Carr this offseason, and here we look at which of the four pending rookie QBs could be the one to do it.

It’s quarterback-hunting season for the Las Vegas Raiders after they cut bait with the nine-year veteran, Derek Carr. They’ll now look to either the draft to find a rookie quarterback to start over with, or they’ll go to within the league and try to land a veteran via free agency or trade.

Carr, for all of his faults, notched the most passing yards in Raiders history by over 16,000, as well as the most passing touchdowns by 67 and the best passer rating by 0.6, edging out Rich Gannon.

I’ve been saying this for years Derek Carr is one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the league, especially within his own Raiders fan circle. The haters are too low on him while the ride-or-dies are too high on him.

The truth about Carr will always lie somewhere in the middle, but one thing that nobody can argue is that DC has a very solid case for being the best statistical quarterback in Raiders’ history.

Championships…….zero.

Playoff wins……zero.

I get all of that and I’m with you, but he still deserves respect for being a stable entity in this Raiders franchise throughout God-awful defenses and organizational drama that didn’t seem to subside in the Jon Gruden era. It’s a shame that as soon as the waters calmed down and he got himself a run game and Davante Adams, he fell apart like he did, but that’s how the cookie crumbles.

Now it’s on to the quarterback hunt. There are plenty of free agents and potential trade targets that the Raiders can key in on, but this article will be talking through the big four college quarterbacks coming out: Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson.

I think only one fits this team the way it’s built right now, but you’ll have to keep reading to find out who that is.
