Las Vegas Raiders 2023 7-round NFL Mock Draft: Combine Week edition
204. Puka Nacua WR BYU
Puka Nacua out of BYU is one of the more interesting draft prospects in this year’s receiver class. The Utah native has the appropriate size you look for in a receiver at 6-1 and 206 pounds and his forty time of 4.45 seconds is good enough to make him a threat from anywhere on the field.
Nacua started his college career at Washington where he spent two years before transferring to BYU for his junior and senior seasons. He put up a solid 90 catches for 1400 yards and 11 touchdowns in his final two seasons and was a reliable target for the Cougars quarterbacks.
The former Cougar is a solid deep threat who runs precise routes and can track the ball well downfield though he does not have elite top-end speed to consistently create separation. There are some concerns about his ability to get open against press corners but some of that will come with time as he refines his craft.
He is not a true burner the way some of the other receivers we have marked to the Raiders are but he can be a talented deep threat for the Raiders in this offense.
