Las Vegas Raiders 2023 7-round NFL Mock Draft: Combine Week edition

233. Robert Beal EDGE Georgia

Robert Beal out of Georgia is being overshadowed this offseason, and rightfully so, by teammate Nolan Smith but he is an incredible athlete in his own right. Beal measures in at 6-3 and 250 pounds and ran an incredible 4.48 second 40 which is in the 96th percentile for his position.

The 5th year senior was always a bit part or rotational player for the Bulldogs though it’s easy to understand why he was behind guys like Trevon Walker, Azeez Ojulari, and Nolan Smith on the depth chart. He has great length and power for his size and has the physical attributes to be a great situational pass rusher at the NFL level.

Beal relies a bit more on finesse and pass-rushing moves than he does on his strength but it’s easy to understand why he does so because of his speed and he still recorded 6.5 sacks in 2021. Scouts think that he is a bit stiff despite the great straight-line speed but he looks the part as a prototypical edge rusher at the NFL level.
