The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback question has yet to be answered, and it appears that the team is seemingly in on every signal-caller out there.

As we inch ever so close to the 2023 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders still have no clear favorite in terms of who will be their starting quarterback next season. The decision to move on from Derek Carr was a big one, and one that left a gaping hole at the quarterback position, one that has not proven easy to fill.

Sure, the Raiders did not do much winning with Carr at the helm, but he is an above-average quarterback in the NFL and will be hard to replace. Las Vegas has been rumored to be linked to a number of quarterbacks this offseason, including two the team would have to trade to get.

So, the question is, who will be the team’s QB1 in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season?

Could the Raiders trade for Mac Jones?

According to Dan Graziano from ESPN, the Raiders are still very much in on Aaron Rodgers but are looking elsewhere if that falls through. The Silver and Black apparently will try and make a push for Mac Jones, who had a terrific rookie season in New England in Josh Mcdaniels’ final season with the Patriots.

Jones struggled last season with McDaniels in Las Vegas and could revert to being a Pro Bowl quarterback if he lands with the Raiders. However, as Graziano points out, New England is not likely to move him.

Raiders still in on Aaron Rodgers?

As stated in Graziano’s report, Las Vegas, rumored to be out on Rodgers, is in fact still in on the future Hall of Fame quarterback. The issue with Rodgers is that the Silver and Black will have to give up a ton of assets to get him, and pay him a huge salary, so for a team with plenty of holes, the price could be too steep for him.

The truth is, nobody knows what is going on with the Raiders in terms of the quarterback spot, as every report states that they are in on different signal-callers. Las Vegas could be in play for some of the top quarterbacks in this draft class as well, so buckle up for what should be a roller coaster of a ride this offseason.
