Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Scouting Combine Edition

147. Mike Morris EDGE Michigan

Mike Morris is one of those unfortunate players that hurt his draft stock at the NFL combine rather than improving it. Coming into the combine, he looked like a day two pick but after running a 4.95 second 40 and not testing well in the other athletic events, he looks more like a day three selection.

Despite his struggles at the Combine, it’s clear that Morris is a talented player who brings some positional versatility to a defense. Measuring in at 6-5 and 275 lb he played both linebacker and defensive end in college but could be a full-time at rusher at the NFL level.

His 40 time is not impressive for a linebacker but would be slightly above average for a defensive lineman and that is where his talent can really shine. The Michigan star racked up 9 sacks last season and was one of the leading sack artists in the nation. He would give the Raiders another situational pass rusher to deploy and provide some solid depth on the defensive line right away.
