Raiders 7-round 2023 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Scouting Combine Edition

110. Luke Wypler OC Ohio State

Luke Wypler out of Ohio State is considered by many as the second-best center in this draft after John Michael Schmitz of Minnesota and he would be a great value pick at this point in the draft. Wypler is a bit small for the position at 6-2 and 303lbs but he makes up for the lack of size with great athleticism.

The former Buckeyes’ 40 time of 5.14 seconds is in the 75th percentile for his position and his shuttle drill, which is arguably more important for an offensive lineman, was in the 89th percentile. He is an incredibly smart player who shows great awareness and was an incredible pass-blocker on one of the best teams in the country.

Andre James is likely the starter for the foreseeable future but having Wypler as a backup and depth piece would be a great move for this offense. He played center exclusively at Ohio State and would need to fill out to play guard at the NFL level but we trust he can do so with an NFL strength training program.

Perhaps he may even be snapping to a familiar face if the Raiders end up with CJ Stroud over Anthony Richardson at the top of the draft.
