The Las Vegas Raiders are hoping to end their losing streak on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are in the same position, hoping not to drop to 2-5 and face an even steeper uphill battle for the postseason in a rigorous NFC West division.

Los Angeles is beat up as well, with Davante Adams and Myles Garrett both missing this game in addition to Kobie Turner, Nate Landman and Poona Ford. They could also be without Trent McDuffie and Puka Nacua, both of whom are questionable.

The Raiders could also be without Mike Washington Jr., who is questionable. Injuries are a part of the NFL, and the Silver and Black have to approach this game as if they are facing a team that went to the NFC Championship Game last season.

Let’s dive into the keys to victory for the Raiders to pull an upset at home, which begins with Brock Bowers.

Las Vegas Raiders' keys to victory in Week 7 against the Rams

Setting the edge

The Raiders played the run against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6 better than expected. They held James Cook to under 100 yards but struggled when stacking the box. They have to stack the box again this week, and the defensive ends need to show up big time on the edge.

Sean McVay’s offense has evolved into a heavy personnel rushing attack. Instead of thriving in 11 personnel like when he first popped onto the scene, he's switched up his mindset. They run 13 personnel 31% of the time, according to Sumer Sports.

This means the Raiders' defensive ends naturally have a mismatch. Tight ends will have a long day against Maxx Crosby. Malcolm Koonce and Kwity Paye also have to make their presence felt. It will be vital to their success and a win.

Spam Brock Bowers

Another Rams player missing who is vital to their team is Landman. Landman has been a playmaker this year for the Rams and their tight end eraser. With him out, it could be a big game for Brock Bowers.

Bowers had 70 yards last game, and the Bills did everything they could to make Cousins throw elsewhere. However, in this game, there is no player who matched up well against Bowers besides Landman.

This could become a game where Bowers gets 12-plus targets. Expect Klint Kubiak to attempt to take advantage of this mismatch against the Rams' defense.

Help the guards

A player who will suit up is Aaron Donald. Donald is slowly coming back to form as the season has progressed. It is important to get help for the guards, and it will be a tough task for the interior offensive line.

Spencer Burford has performed well at home. If he can hold steady, it will help in the run game and the pass game. However, his pass-protection talent might be a problem for the Raiders in this matchup.

It will be interesting to see how the Raiders plan to slow down Donald.
