Oakland Raiders 2019 NFL Draft Crush: Noah Fant
Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock have done a lot to revamp this Oakland Raiders offense, and a guy like Noah Fant could be the final skill position piece.
The Oakland Raiders have done plenty this offseason to ensure that Derek Carr and the offense take a huge step forward in 2019. And with the draft coming up the expectation is that the team will go heavy on defensive players to round out the remaining parts of the roster.
While that is necessary, there is one offensive talent I think the Raiders should seriously consider with their 24th or 27th pick late in the first round and that is Iowa’s tight end, Noah Fant.
With the loss of Jared Cook to free agency the Raiders have a big hole at the tight end position. Jon Gruden can say all the nice things he wants about the tight ends currently on the roster, but I do not buy that for a second. They need to upgrade and what better way to do it than by taking a player who offers similar traits to Cook and could have an even higher upside.
With plenty of NFL team’s still not fully realizing the value of an elite pass-catching tight end, there is high chance Fant could fall to the Raiders. If that happens, here is some insight into what exactly Fant brings to an offense.
