Many of the Las Vegas Raiders' worst performers from the ill-fated 2025 season have found a home with the New York Jets, including Geno Smith under center and both Dylan Parham and Jordan Meredith on the offensive line.
Jets fans just found out why Meredith's name has become a dirty word in Las Vegas.
Parham left the Jets' Week 3 loss vs. the Detroit Lions with a knee injury after a strong start to the year, and Meredith replaced him. Considering how he was the worst player on the field on either side of the ball, Jets fans now wish they had taken all of the negative comments from Raider Nation.
Meredith was credited with a rancid 9.9 Pro Football Focus pass-blocking grade, having surrendered two sacks and five pressures on just 28 snaps. Meredith was also part of a miscommunication that led to a Smith sack-fumble on what was an attempted game-winning drive.

Parham has been even better than he was with the Raiders, as he entered this game as Pro Football Focus's highest-graded guard with a 92.5 overall mark. Parham was replaced by Meredith, who continues to lack the power needed to slow down high-end pass rushers at this stage of his career.
Meredith, acquired via trade, looked completely overwhelmed despite playing against a Lions defensive line that has often failed to flex its star power outside of Aidan Hutchinson.
Meredith was practicing at three different offensive line positions, and getting thrown into the middle of a road game against a contender is tough, but that was still a shocking performance.
While Smith's play has improved since joining a superior Jets offensive line, Meredith's Raiders career has shown that he may be beyond saving as an NFL starter. However, with no other backup interior offensive linemen on the roster, the Jets may be forced to lean on Meredith if Parham's injury is serious.
The Las Vegas Raiders are thriving without Jordan Meredith
The Raiders replaced Parham and Meredith with Spencer Burford at left guard and Tyler Linderbaum as their high-priced center acquisition. Both of them have performed exemplarily in their first few games in silver and black, especially with Linderbaum having signed a market-defining contract.
The team's insistence on starting Kirk Cousins over No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza has turned out to be an excellent decision. Not only has Cousins led his team to wins, but he's also been a big reason behind this success, as he has thrown three touchdowns in each of his first three games.
Parham was cooking before his injury, and Smith appears to have steadied the ship now that he is back in New York, but Meredith continues to show that even a solid offensive line can be brought down by his inept play.
Luckily, Raider Nation can watch him flounder from a distance as they position themselves for a postseason run in 2026.
