Before we look ahead to the Las Vegas Raiders' Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, here's the first free-agent stock report, which will track the top performances among the team's veteran acquisitions from this past offseason.
You may be familiar with our weekly rookie report cards. These free-agent stock reports will offer something similar and provide an idea of how well general manager John Spytek and his assistants identified veterans who can help the team and used the cap space over the past offseason.
The stock report below features a couple of familiar faces and an under-the-radar receiver who had a career day in the Raiders' 26-14 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season. Here were the three biggest contributors.
Raiders offense shocked the masses, though one defender's heads-up play sealed the Week 2 victory
1. WR Cody White
The Raiders signed Cody White to their practice squad after the Seattle Seahawks released him as part of their final roster cuts. If you connected the dots from Seattle to Las Vegas, you'd understand why head coach Klint Kubiak thought the 27-year-old wideout would be an asset for his offense.
Although Tre Tucker led the Raiders in catches (five) and receiving yards (119), it was White who garnered the spotlight with an efficient outing, scoring a touchdown on both of his receptions.
Perhaps Los Angeles missed White on its scouting report. He only played 11 offensive snaps in Week 1. The sixth-year veteran played just seven offensive snaps last week and made quick work of the Chargers' pass defense.
2. LB Nakobe Dean
The Raiders' offense has been impressive in the first two weeks of the season, though the defense shouldn't be overlooked in their victories. Nakobe Dean has put together standout performances with game-changing plays as a pass rusher and run defender.
In Week 2, Dean logged nine tackles (six solo) and a half-sack, but he made his biggest play late in the fourth quarter, attacking running back Omarion Hampton and forcing a fumble. Safety Jeremy Chinn recovered it and advanced the ball 43 yards deep into the Chargers' territory.
Dean has a versatile role in Rob Leonard's defense. In addition to 16 tackles (two for loss), he's recorded 1.5 sacks and three pressures.
3. QB Kirk Cousins
Tip of the cap to Kirk Cousins, who was far more precise in Week 2 than in the season opener. Entering Week 3, he's one of four quarterbacks leading the NFL with six touchdown passes.
Last Sunday, Cousins proved he can still sling it. Although he has much less power than a rocket arm, the 38-year-old still has just enough mustard on his passes to get the job done.
According to Pro Football Focus, Cousins went 8-of-12 passing for 181 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on throws of 10 or more yards. The Chargers may not have respected his ability to push the ball downfield, but he made them pay with aggressive throws.
