Look, no one knows what the Raiders are going to do in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Some reports suggest that the team is not going to trade up, sacrificing a ton of capital in order to go get their franchise quarterback.

However, that might be all smoke. We've seen the unpredictable happen each and every year during draft night. Let's say the Raiders do move up and get one of Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy or Jayden Daniels.

Well, they've already got one of the better backups in Gardner Minshew on the roster. That leaves Aidan O'Connell as the likely no. 3 quarterback. Rather than leave him in that spot, the Raiders could try and get a Day 3 pick in exchange for the second-year pro.

Yes, he was a fourth-round pick last year. But, a lot can happen in a year, and the Raiders might just prove that to be true if they make a big, bold move in Round 1.
