Linebacker Christian Kirksey

Another Texans starter who is now on the market is the durable, 2022 team captain for Houston's defense. The silver and black love team captains, just look at their 2023 draft class. Kirksey is almost 31 now, but contributed heavily on a bad defense. He would be an instant impact performer at linebacker on a defense that needs more playmakers like him.

He missed time during his last stint in Cleveland, but at this stage in his career, Kirksey would benefit most from backing up the starters. If he would happen to outplay them, then it would certainly be a win-win for both parties involved. It would almost be like a straight up man-for-man trade for ex Raider Denzel Perryman.

Raider fans on social media have been clamoring for a trade for Patrick Queen of Baltimore, but that is wishful thinking. Instead they'll have to settle for what they have currently on the field or take a flyer on Kirksey and hope that he can be a band-aid for a year or so with little depth at the position.
