3. Round 3 Pick 77-Jonathan Brooks RB Texas

Brooks was a 1,000 yard rusher in Longhorn land. He was given a 91.4 grade by PFF for the entirety of the 2023 season, which is strong enough for the top 10 of running backs. Unfortunately he tore his ACL in the TCU win, but is still near or at the top of draft boards for running backs.

Obviously this pick all depends on what the Raiders decide to do with Josh Jacobs of course. Texas teams will certainly be linked to the in-state product too.

As a high schooler Brooks tied Texas state records set by fellow Longhorn, Jonathan Gray. He was named as the Texas football player of the year in 2020. Brooks has good speed, but not great speed for the NFL. Another year of seasoning at the college level would have been the smarter move, but it didn't seem to hurt his draft stock at all.

Brooks has the desirable build coming out, compared to say a Darren Sproles. Lance Zierlein comps him to another Texas back in Jamaal Charles. He believes he will eventually be a starter in the league. The bad part of it all will be that Brooks cannot workout at the combine or at pro day because of his previously mentioned ACL injury. That means he would be like a luxury pick for 2025.
