The pick at No. 75 overall should excite the Raiders fan base, as the Silver and Black bring in a quarterback who was once considered a potential No. 1 overall pick. The Raiders currently have two starting-caliber quarterbacks on the roster, and after passing up on one early, they are able to get another solid player at the position in Spencer Rattler.
Rattler had an up-and-down collegiate career, starting out hot for Oklahoma before landing in South Carolina. Still, he proved during the Senior Bowl Week that he is capable of outshining many in this year's draft class, and he is someone who could have a very long career at the NFL level.
While the arrival of Rattler will not bring the kind of excitement that Jayden Daniels would have, it does not mean that this is not an excellent pick for Tom Telesco. He is young enough to come in and learn behind both O'Connell and Minshew, and eventually has the talent to be the starting quarterback in Las Vegas for a long time.
