The Las Vegas Raiders are a team that is looking to win right away in 2024, the first season with Antonio Pierce as the full-time head coach. With a new general manager in place, we have seen Tom Telesco make some big moves this offseason in free agency, adding a big-time playmaker on defense, but also losing a key contributor in Josh Jacobs.

When it comes to the 2024 NFL Draft for the Raiders, all eyes are on the quarterback position. The Raiders have been rumored to be in the market to trade up on Day 1, trying to secure one of the top signal-callers available this April, but a lot will have to happen in order for that dream to become a reality.

Looking at the current quarterback room, it has a much different feel than it did a year ago, when Jimmy Garoppolo was the guaranteed starter after landing in Las Vegas to replace Derek Carr. Aidan O'Connell was drafted by the team, and was expected to be the QB3 as a rookie, but he ended up taking over the starting job in the second half of the season, and outplayed any kind of expectation the team could have had for him.

Here, we look at three reasons why Aidan O'Connell will win the starting quarterback job this summer.
