Injuries are woven into the fabric of the NFL, and the Las Vegas Raiders are not exempt from this unfortunate facet of the game. Before the campaign even began, Ashton Jeanty got hurt at camp and clearly still doesn't look 100% now. Both Brock Bowers and Keyron Crawford went down as well.
In Week 1, Las Vegas lost Darien Porter for Week 2, and in Week 2, the Raiders lost Treydan Stukes, who ended up also missing Week 3. In this past Sunday's contest against the New Orleans Saints, two more players went down: Jack Bech and Jackson Powers-Johnson. It's never-ending.
While Crawford is out for the season, Jeanty, Bowers and Porter are all back now. But it remains to be seen what the future holds for Stukes, Bech and Powers-Johnson. Here are the latest injury updates for all three of them ahead of Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season.
Latest injury update for Raiders safety Treydan Stukes
Stukes suffered a concussion in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers and missed both the second half of that game and this past weekend's contest against the Saints. Last week, Klint Kubiak said that Stukes was doing everything he could to make a quick recovery and get out of the protocol.
"We expect [Treydan] Stukes to be back this week," Kubiak told reporters on Monday.
That makes sense timeline-wise with a concussion, and it would be incredible for the defense if this were the case. Isaiah Pola-Mao was a disaster in Stukes' place, so the Raiders badly need Stukes to shore up the back end of the unit once again. He's a young star and apparently irreplaceable already.
Is there any concrete news about Jack Bech's injury yet?
Kubiak told the media after Sunday's win that Bech fractured his forearm, but no official word or move has been made on this front. He hasn't been placed on IR nor replaced on the active roster. "Jack Bech is probably going to be out," was all Kubiak really said about it until Monday.
"Obviously, Jack [Bech]'s going to be out for a little bit. We have not made a roster decision yet, so that'll be TBD."
I guess we will just have to wait and see. It wasn't incredibly obvious to anyone when Bech got hurt, but as expected, Kubiak noted that it was on the end zone target that drew an unnecessary roughness penalty. And he brought up a good point along the way.
"He got blown up. Kirk [Cousins] was throwing the ball away, and the guy hit him in the forearm; so lucky that it wasn't a concussion. But he'll be back. We'll get him back."
Sounds like Bech is heading to IR with a designation to return, if we want to read the tea leaves and assume. Cody White is likely to be promoted to the active roster in his place. This is disappointing because Bech was finding his footing, but hopefully he continues to do so when he's back.
Update on Jackson Powers-Johnson's injury
Powers-Johnson left the game quietly at the end, and the team was calling it a groin injury. Kubiak, as much as Raider Nation loves him, wasn't much help when trying to get to the bottom of what exactly happened or what the severity might be.
"We are still evaluating JPJ [Jackson Powers-Johnson]. He's got a sore groin," Kubiak said.
Groin injuries are notoriously fickle, and with a player like JPJ, who has a nefarious injury history, there is a chance that they will slow-play this. After all, Kubiak did say that he thinks Caleb Rogers is a starting-level player, and the battle for the starting right guard job was tightly contested anyway.
Maybe this is a chance to get Rogers some reps and to take care of a young player all in one.
Obviously, the hope is that Powers-Johnson is back, and if Rogers is going to replace anyone, it should be Spencer Burford on the other side, who has struggled more than JPJ this year. But it'll be interesting to see what kind of practice designation he and others have on Wednesday.
