The first round of the 2014 NFL Draft has came and went as Friday morning officially creeps in which means it is now time to hand out (extremely) early grades of the 2014 first round picks of the NFL teams lucky enough to make a selection of one of the top 32 prospects in the 2014 draft class.

AFC West teams all got their chance to make a pick during the first round and all four teams in the division opted to go on defense as two pass rushers (Khalil Mack, Dee Ford) and two secondary players (Jason Verrett, Bradley Roby) were selected to join what might be the second toughest division in football next year behind the NFC West.

Before we start our grades here are the official AFC West Round One Selections:

  • Oakland Raiders: Khalil Mack (OLB/DE, Buffalo)
  • Kansas City Chiefs: Dee Ford (DE, Auburn)
  • San Diego Chargers: Jason Verrett (CB, TCU)
  • Denver Broncos: Bradley Roby (CB, OSU)
