Mario Edwards Jr. will solidify the Oakland Raiders defensive front now that he has been medically cleared to play in 2016.

After the Oakland Raiders added defensive ends with both their second and third round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the concerns surrounding defensive end Mario Edwards Jr.’s neck injury were amplified, but the negative rumors can officially subside. Edwards announced via Instagram today that he has been medically cleared to play despite suffering what was considered a serious neck injury in their Week 15 loss to the Green Bay Packers in 2015.
